Please say a prayer
for a friend’s niece, Becca who is 17 months old and swallowed half a bottle of anti-depressants.
Catholicism is Truth.
“Thoughtful men, with hearts craving the truth, have come to seek in the Catholic Church the road which leads with surety to eternal life. They have understood that they could not cleave to Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church if they did not belong to the Body of Jesus Christ which is the Church. Nor could they ever hope to possess in all its purity the faith of Jesus Christ if they were to reject its legitimate teaching authority entrusted to Peter and his successors.”
-Pope Leo XIII
Please please please please storm Heaven with prayers for a special intention. Thank you. God Bless.
"Death was not part of nature; it became part of nature. God did not decree death from the beginning; he prescribed it as a remedy. Human life, because of sin … began to experience the burden of wretchedness in unremitting labour and unbearable sorrow. There had to be a limit to its evils; death had to restore what life had forfeited. Without the assistance of grace, immortality is more of a burden than a blessing."
St. Ambrose, on the death of his brother Satyrus (via badwolfcomplex)
I just had a thought
When people are scared or are trying to protect themselves, often times they go into the fetal position. That’s because it is the first positions we as humans are in and because in the womb we felt safe. So now when we go into the fetal position, we hope for that same safety we felt as humans in the womb.
My brothers and sisters…the womb is no longer safe. Pray for the right of the unborn and for an end to all abortion.
"Who has not heard Dostoevsky’s oft-quoted remark, “Beauty will save us?” Usually people forget to mention, however, that by redeeming beauty Dostoevsky means Christ. He it is whom we must learn to see. If we cease to know him only through words but are struck by the arrow of his paradoxical beauty, then we will truly come to know him and will no longer merely know about him at second-hand. Then we will have encountered the beauty of truth, of redeeming truth. Nothing can bring us into contact with the beauty of Christ himself more than the world of beauty created by faith and the light that shines upon the faces of the saints, through which his own light becomes visible."
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (via fathershane)
